デンマーク・コペンハーゲンで開催される「3daysofdesign」にて、素材リサーチプロジェクト第二弾「紙」の展示を開催いたします。
中国から伝わった製紙技術が日本で発展した伝統的な紙、和紙。日本の風土や生活文化と結びつきながら、幅広い用途に活用されてきました。本展では、植物から繊維を取り出し、⼀枚の和紙へと仕上げるまでに惜しみなく時間と手間をかける職⼈たちの姿勢や、和紙を⽣活に普及させてきた多様な⼯夫、そしてそれらが凝縮された歴史的な⽣活⽤品を紹介します。また、デザインの視点から和紙の新たな可能性を引き出すデザイナープロジェクトも発表いたします。

We are pleased to present “OUR PAPER,” the second theme of our material research project, at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, Denmark.

“Washi” is a traditional Japanese paper whose making techniques were introduced from China and developed uniquely in Japan, deeply rooted in climate and everyday culture. The exhibition highlights craftsmanship, historical everyday objects, and contemporary works exploring new possibilities of Washi.

at Milan Design Week

ミラノデザインウィーク2023の期間中、トリエンナーレミラノにて、素材リサーチプロジェクトの第一弾「竹」の展示を開催いたします。
生活に根ざした竹の活用の変遷、竹と向き合う人たちの仕事と技術、国内外のデザイナーによる新しい発想を通して、竹が秘める潜在力を伝えます。

トリエンナーレ・ミラノ（Viale Alemagna, 6 Milano, Italy）にて

During Milan Design Week 2023, we will present “OUR BAMBOO,” the first theme of our material research project, at Triennale Milano.

Through an exploration of the evolving role of bamboo in everyday life, the work and craftsmanship of those who engage with the material, and new perspectives proposed by designers from Japan and around the world, the exhibition reveals the untapped potential of bamboo.
